Impotence drugs: The hidden big business behind your doctor’s diagnosis and prescription

In 2003, Eli Lilly introduced Cialis (tadalafil), a competitor to Pfizer's blockbuster Viagra for erectile dysfunction. In April 21, 2006, the Bloomberg News reported the sales of Cialis:

“Icos Corporation, which is based in Bothell, Wash., reported that sales of Cialis, an erectile dysfunction drug, rose 48 percent, to $222.7 million. Cialis, a competitor to Viagra from Pfizer, is now the market leader in 11 countries… Eli Lilly, says net income rose 1.3 percent, to $834 million, from $736 million year earlier; revenue rose 6.2 percent, to $3.71 billion…”

What you didn’t know is that Cialis, including Viagra and Levitra, might even kill you, and it is the doctor and the drug companies who will be running happily to the bank.
